Biomechanics of Mobility Weekend Workshop

We'll explore some of the most effective exercises for naturally stiff adults and the key biomechanical features that support mobility development for a Resting Squat, Overhead Positions, Splits, and Back Bends. All experience levels welcome!

What will the workshop cover?

Developing flexibility as an adult requires a different approach and understanding of how to maximize the potential of your own individual anatomy. This is where a proper education of biomechanics and anatomy are of great importance!

This workshop will be a 2- day event exploring Principals of Mobility Training, Assessment, Common Injuries such as Hip/ Shoulder Impingement, and PLENTY of exercises to address the most common limitations of the upper and lower body.

The main focus of this workshop will be on improving general Hip, Shoulder, and Spine Mobility for a comfortable Resting Squat, Overhead Positioning, and Preparation for Splits & Back Bends

Who’s the workshop for?

This workshop is suitable for ALL levels, whether you are an advanced athlete looking to further develop your splits safely, or a beginner looking to sit comfortably cross legged or in a resting squat.

If you are a coach, you will deepen your understanding of movement and acquire a blueprint for assessment & mobility prescription for your clients unique limitations.

If you are an active individual with joint mobility restrictions or looking to resolve nagging aches and pains, you will come away with man tools to solve your problems.

What’s the schedule?

Day 1: Lower Limb- Ankle/ Foot + Hip/ Pelvic Extension/ Flexion

Day 2: Hip Rotation/ Abduction + T-Spine/ Shoulders

1 Hour Lunch Break + Q&A sessions each day
